Pure x McLaren Flex Electric Scooter – McLaren style, compact storage
The Pure x McLaren Flex combines a Papaya finish with Pure's compact folding design. The chassis folds to bring the wheels closer together, creating a 62 × 30 × 57 cm package for storage or transport.
Its 500 W nominal rear motor supports up to 924 W maximum input power, supported by a 36 V 9.5 Ah battery. Separate footpads, Pure Control steering stabilisation and 10-inch tubeless tyres complete a scooter with a maximum tested range of 32.3 miles (52 km).
Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on UK public roads, pavements, cycle lanes, cycle tracks or other public places. Use only on private land not open to the public, with the landowner’s permission. Read our UK e-scooter law guide.
A shorter fold for smaller spaces
The McLaren Flex folds through its chassis, handlebars, footpads and steering column. This makes the folded scooter much shorter than the non-Flex McLaren editions, useful when fitting it into a cupboard or car boot.
McLaren design on a familiar Pure platform
The Papaya colour scheme brings McLaren styling to the Flex's aluminium-alloy construction. At 16.2 kg, the complete scooter combines its compact fold with the same forward-facing layout used across Pure's side-by-side footpad models.
Steering support and coordinated braking
Pure Control gently guides the steering towards the centre, while a front drum brake and rear regenerative brake respond together to the brake lever. Three modes let you change the speed setting without changing the controls.
Clear signalling and useful ride data
Handlebar and rear-facing footpad indicators work alongside front and rear lighting. The display shows speed, mode and battery information, and the Pure app connects through Bluetooth for ride data and digital PIN locking.
Quoted ranges are maximum test figures, not guaranteed distances. Pure’s range figure for this model was measured at a steady 15 km/h under controlled conditions. Actual range varies with rider weight, speed, hills, surface, temperature, wind, tyre pressure and battery condition.

Frequently asked questions
The Flex has a chassis that folds into a shorter package and a 9.5 Ah battery. The non-Flex Papaya and Black editions fold into a longer, slimmer shape and use a 12 Ah battery.
The McLaren edition adds its distinctive collaboration styling. Both share the same motor rating, battery capacity, maximum tested range and compact folding dimensions.
No. Its rigid frame and fork are paired with air-filled tubeless tyres, which provide cushioning without a separate suspension system.
The folded dimensions are 62 cm long, 30 cm wide and 57 cm high. Measure the intended storage space against all three dimensions.
Care and water resistance: IP65 helps protect against dust and rain. Avoid heavy rain, deep water, submersion and pressure washing. Dry the scooter and charging port before charging.
