Warranty Policy

📦 Standard Warranty Coverage

All electric scooters and electric bikes purchased from Electric Scooters London are covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects.

  • 6 months – Standard warranty on core components.
  • 12 months – Extended warranty on selected products (please check the product listing):
    • 12 months on the product frame
    • 6 months on other major components

The warranty period starts from the day the product is received by the customer.

✅ Conditions of Warranty

  • You must be the original owner with proof of purchase or order number.
  • The warranty is non-transferable.
  • Coverage applies only to manufacturing defects, not accidental damage or misuse.
  • Defects must be reported with photo/video evidence.

🔧 Components Covered

The limited warranty covers the following components:

  • Battery
  • Controller
  • LED Lights
  • Motor
  • Display
  • Throttle
  • Electrical wiring

⚙️ Warranty Process

Once a defect is reported, our technicians will review the case and, at our sole discretion, we will either:

  • Repair the defective component, or
  • Replace the defective component with a new one. - If it can be replaced easily by the customer, the part will be shipped free of charge. - If professional repair is required, the product may need to be returned to us.

Important: Only the Electric Scooters London technical team can determine whether a defect is covered under warranty.

🚫 What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Daily wear-and-tear items (bolts, screws, bearings, etc.).
  • Consumables: fuses, brake pads, brake discs, brake cables, tyres, inner tubes, callipers.
  • Negligence or use in wet conditions, leading to rust/corrosion.
  • Accidental damage or misuse, including professional or hire use.
  • Damage from overloading, improper storage, or abnormal conditions.
  • Improper assembly, third-party repairs, or non-approved modifications.
  • Installation of incompatible parts or accessories.
  • Failure to service or maintain at appropriate intervals.

Note: Most electric vehicles are not waterproof. Riding in damp or wet conditions can cause irreversible damage not covered under warranty.

📦 Warranty Shipping Costs (UK Customers)

  • If covered, we arrange collection and cover all shipping costs (UK only).
  • If not covered: after inspection, the customer will be invoiced for shipping and any repair costs.

🌍 International Customers

For deliveries outside the UK, the 6-month limited warranty applies. - In most cases, it is not feasible to ship products back to us. - Instead, we will ship replacement parts free of charge. - Customers may need to use a local technician if they cannot replace the part themselves.

Please consider this before purchasing internationally.

  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
  • Any modification to the product will immediately void the warranty.
  • Warranty is valid only for the original owner.
