A Specialist Shop with a Real Workshop

Electric mobility products require more than a product page and a delivery box. Customers may need help choosing the correct model, assembling and setting it up, finding compatible parts or diagnosing a fault later in its life.

That is why our Twickenham workshop is an important part of the business. We are not solely an online retailer: customers can speak with people who work with electric bikes and e-scooters, inspect components, and get help identifying practical repair options.

Our aim is straightforward: to make electric mobility easier to understand, safer to own and more practical to maintain.

What We Supply

We offer a selected range of:

Our range includes products from established electric mobility brands at different prices and performance levels. Because specifications and legal classifications can vary considerably, we encourage customers to check the individual product description and ask us if anything is unclear before buying.

Advice Before You Buy

The most powerful or expensive model is not automatically the most suitable one. The right choice depends on factors including the intended use, rider size, required range, storage space, local terrain, transport needs, parts availability and UK legal classification.

We aim to provide clear information rather than relying only on headline figures such as maximum range, peak motor output or top speed. Manufacturer-claimed range is typically achieved under controlled conditions, and real-world results can vary with rider weight, hills, temperature, assistance level, tyre pressure, and riding style.

If you need help comparing products, you are welcome to contact us or visit our Twickenham shop.

Repairs, Servicing and Diagnostics

Electric bikes and e-scooters contain mechanical and electrical components that require inspection and maintenance. Brakes, tyres, wheels, folding mechanisms, cables, bearings, batteries, chargers, controllers and displays can all require attention during the product's working life.

Depending on the brand, model, fault and availability of parts, our workshop can assist with:

  • fault diagnosis and electrical troubleshooting
  • tyre, tube and solid-tyre replacement
  • brake adjustment and component replacement
  • battery and charger checks
  • controller, display and wiring assessment
  • general servicing and safety inspections
  • warranty-related assessment and manufacturer support

We support both warranty and out-of-warranty enquiries where the necessary expertise and compatible parts are available. Please get in touch with us before bringing in a product so we can confirm whether we can work on the particular brand and model.

Support After the Sale

Our relationship with a customer should not end when an order is dispatched. We help with product setup questions, replacement parts, diagnostics, manufacturer claims and workshop repairs where applicable.

Warranty coverage varies by product, brand and component. Our role is to explain the available process clearly and help customers reach an appropriate outcome without affecting their statutory consumer rights. Full terms are available in our Warranty Policy.

Clear Information About UK Use

Electric bikes and electric scooters do not have the same legal status in the UK, and similar-looking products can fall into different legal categories.

Electric bikes: To be treated as a conventional bicycle in Great Britain, an electric bike must meet the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle requirements. These generally include usable pedals, a motor with a maximum continuous rated output of 250W, and electrical assistance that does not propel the bike above 15.5 mph. Other requirements, including approval rules for certain throttle-operated models, may also apply.

Private e-scooters: Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be ridden lawfully on UK public land, including public roads, pavements and cycle lanes. They may be used on private land with the landowner's permission. Government-approved rental schemes are treated separately.

For more detail, read our guides to UK electric bike rules and UK e-scooter laws.

Keeping Products in Use for Longer

Our approach to responsible electric mobility includes helping customers select an appropriate product, maintain it properly and repair it where practical. Extending the useful life of a bike or scooter can reduce premature disposal and make better use of its components and battery.

We also provide guidance on battery charging, storage, fire safety and responsible recycling. A damaged, swollen, overheating or otherwise abnormal lithium-ion battery should not continue to be charged or used.

You can read more about these commitments on our Responsible Electric Mobility page.

Our Tree-Nation Partnership

Electric Scooters London funds one tree through Tree-Nation for every product or service sold. Customers can view our public forest and the planting projects supported through our ECOMOVE UK Ltd Tree-Nation profile.

Tree planting is one part of our wider approach; it does not make every product or purchase carbon-neutral. We believe environmental claims should be specific, transparent, and verifiable.
