At Electric Scooters London, our goal is simple: to help customers move towards cleaner, smarter and more efficient transport. We supply electric bikes, private-land e-scooters, parts, accessories and repair services from our London workshop.
Electric bikes can offer a practical alternative to short car journeys and crowded public transport, while electric scooters can be used responsibly on private land with the landowner's permission. We believe electric mobility has an important role to play in a cleaner transport future, but it must be used safely, legally and responsibly.
Many electric bikes are designed for commuting, leisure riding, fitness and everyday local journeys. A suitable e-bike can help reduce reliance on cars for shorter trips, lower running costs and make cycling more accessible to a wider range of riders.
In the UK, electric bikes must comply with the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) rules to be treated as normal bicycles for road use. This generally means the bike must have pedals, motor assistance must cut off at 15.5 mph / 25 km/h, and the motor must not exceed 250W continuous rated power.
Some high-powered, off-road, throttle-controlled, modified, or unlocked electric bikes may not be road-legal in the UK unless they meet the required legal conditions. Customers should always check whether a product is suitable and legal for their intended use before riding.
Electric scooters are compact, efficient and enjoyable machines. Still, privately owned e-scooters are not currently permitted for use on UK public roads, pavements, cycle lanes, parks, or other public places.
Unless UK law changes, privately owned e-scooters may only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. Electric Scooters London does not encourage or promote the unlawful use of private e-scooters in public places.
We continue to support responsible ownership, clear customer information and safe use while the UK legal position develops.
Sustainability does not end at the point of sale. Electric bikes and electric scooters require regular inspection, servicing and maintenance, like any other vehicle.
