At Electric Scooters London, your safety and peace of mind come first. That is why every new electric bike or electric scooter purchased from us includes a Free Six-Month Service — a workshop health check designed to keep your bike or scooter safe, properly adjusted and performing as it should.

What's Included in Your Free Six-Month Service?

The Free Six-Month Service is designed as a safety and performance check after your first few months of use. It typically includes:

• Complete safety inspection – frame, stem, handlebars, folding mechanisms, fixings and key bolts checked and tightened where required.
• Brake system check – brake pads inspected, brake alignment checked, callipers adjusted where possible, and cables or hoses visually checked for wear or damage.
• Wheels and tyres – tyres inspected for damage, excessive wear or low pressure, with tyre pressures checked and adjusted where required.
• Drivetrain check for e-bikes – chain, cassette, crank, pedals and derailleur inspected, lubricated and adjusted where appropriate.
• Suspension check – front and/or rear suspension checked for correct function, unusual play, noise or visible damage where fitted.
• Electrical system check – lights, display, pedal assist, throttle (where fitted), and wiring and visible connectors checked for obvious faults or damage.
• Software or firmware check – where applicable and manufacturer-supported, we will check for any recommended updates.
• General safety and performance check – a final workshop check and test, where legally and practically appropriate.

Please note: replacement parts, consumables and repairs are not included unless specifically stated. If brake pads, tyres, tubes, chains, cables or other parts are required, we will always confirm any additional cost with you before carrying out chargeable work.

Who Is Eligible?

• Any new electric bike or electric scooter purchased directly from Electric Scooters London.
• The service should be booked approximately six months from the original purchase date. We usually allow a small grace period, but the service must be arranged within a reasonable time.
• You must provide proof of purchase, such as your order confirmation or invoice.
• The bike or scooter must have been used in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance and be in serviceable condition.

What's Not Included?

The Free Six-Month Service is a maintenance and safety check. It is not a repair warranty and does not extend the original warranty period. The following are not included:

• Accident damage, impact damage, misuse, neglect or water ingress.
• Major repairs to motors, controllers, batteries, displays, or wiring looms.
• Replacement of worn consumable parts, including tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, chains, cassettes, cables, grips and pedals.
• Cosmetic parts, bodywork, plastics, stickers or accessories.
• Upgrades or installation of non-standard accessories.
• Repairs required due to lack of maintenance, heavy wear or use outside the manufacturer's guidance.

How to Book Your Free Six-Month Service

1. Check your purchase date – it can be found on your invoice or in your order confirmation email.
2. Contact us to book – call us on +44 (0) 20 8703 5387 or email support@electricscooterslondon.com.
3. Bring your bike or scooter to our workshop – please bring proof of purchase to your appointment.

Most Free Six-Month Services can be completed on the same day, but this depends on workshop availability, the condition of the bike or scooter, and whether any additional paid work is required.
