Dual-motor electric scooter FAQs

Compare motor specifications alongside battery capacity, brakes, suspension, tyre type, weight and rider load limit. More motor power alone does not tell you how a scooter will suit your needs. Check the full specifications and intended-use information for each model.

Some models offer a single-motor mode, while others control both motors automatically or use different riding modes. Check the specific model's features and controls rather than assuming every dual-motor scooter has a motor-selection switch.

Using more power generally increases battery consumption. Speed, acceleration, hills, rider weight, tyre pressure and temperature also affect range. Compare battery capacity as well as the listed range, and allow for your riding conditions.

Check the scooter's weight and folded dimensions carefully, especially if you need to lift it into a car or carry it upstairs. A folding stem makes storage easier, but does not necessarily make a large scooter convenient to carry.
