Pure x McLaren Papaya Electric Scooter – Distinctive design, natural balance
The Pure x McLaren Papaya combines McLaren's recognisable orange finish with Pure's forward-facing riding platform. Separate footpads give each foot its own space, while folding handlebars and footpads create a slim profile for storage.
A 500 W nominal rear motor supports up to 924 W maximum input power. The 36 V 12 Ah battery supports a maximum tested range of 38.8 miles (62.4 km), while the complete scooter weighs 16.2 kg.

McLaren styling with a useful slim fold
The Papaya finish gives this collaboration its distinctive look. Folding the handlebars, footpads and steering column reduces the scooter to 15 cm wide, making it easier to store along a wall or in a narrow space.
A forward-facing stance
Stand with your feet side by side on separate footpads. Pure Control steering stabilisation adds a gentle centring force at the handlebars, helping reduce unwanted movement as you guide the scooter through a turn.
A coordinated braking system
The front drum brake and rear regenerative brake work together from one lever. Air-filled, 10-inch tubeless tyres add cushioning, while three riding modes let you change the speed setting to suit your ride.
Built-in lights, indicators and connectivity
A front light and rear running and brake light are joined by handlebar and rear-facing footpad indicators. The display keeps ride information visible, and the Pure app adds Bluetooth connectivity and digital PIN locking.

Is Papaya more powerful than the Black Edition?
No. Both editions use a 500 W nominal motor with up to 924 W maximum input power and a 12 Ah battery. The main difference is their finish.
How is this different from the McLaren Flex?
Papaya folds into a longer, slimmer shape and has a 12 Ah battery. McLaren Flex folds through its chassis into a shorter package and uses a 9.5 Ah battery.
Does it have suspension?
No. This model uses a rigid frame and fork with air-filled tubeless tyres for cushioning.
Where are the turn indicators?
They are integrated into the handlebars and the rear-facing sections of the footpads, supplementing the scooter's front and rear lights.
Care and water resistance: IP65 helps protect against dust and rain. Avoid heavy rain, deep water, submersion and pressure washing. Dry the scooter and charging port before charging.
