The ADO Air 20 Pro 2026 Folding Electric Bike combines compact folding practicality with an upgraded 250W BAFANG rear hub motor, increased torque of 50 Nm, and an integrated automatic two-speed transmission. A dual-sided torque sensor adjusts assistance based on pedalling effort, while the carbon belt drive provides quiet, clean, low-maintenance power transfer.
The latest 2026 version adds a CAN-protocol removable battery, an NFC-enabled IPS colour display, IPX6 water resistance, aluminium mudguards and an upgraded MIK-compatible aluminium rear rack with an integrated rear light. The UK/CE version assists up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h) without a throttle.
The BAFANG 250W brushless rear hub motor produces up to 50 Nm of torque for responsive starts, controlled climbing assistance, and smooth everyday cycling.
An integrated automatic two-speed transmission changes between its two internal ratios without requiring manual gear selection. The bike also provides Eco and Sport modes with three pedal-assistance levels, allowing riders to prioritise range or stronger support.
The removable 36V 9.6Ah lithium-ion battery provides approximately 345.6Wh of energy and supports an estimated assisted range of up to 100 km (62 miles) under suitable test conditions.
Integrated into the seatpost for convenient removal and indoor charging, the 2026 battery uses the CAN communication protocol, complies with EN 50604 requirements and supports remote battery-management updates from ADO.
The 20 × 1.95-inch puncture-resistant tyres provide stable handling and efficient rolling, while the adjustable lockout suspension fork helps absorb vibration over uneven surfaces. The fork can be locked when a firmer and more efficient front end is preferred.
The adjustable saddle and handlebar accommodate riders approximately 150–200 cm tall. The aluminium frame, folding handlebar and folding pedals allow the bike to be stored in a more compact space.
The upgraded 2.4-inch IPS colour display presents speed, battery status, assistance level, riding mode, mileage and system information. NFC functionality enables tap-to-start operation, while physical controls remain available if the NFC card is not being used.
An E-mark front headlight supports forward visibility. The upgraded aluminium rear rack incorporates an integrated rear light for a cleaner installation with less exposed wiring.
Hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking with consistent lever response. The lightweight aluminium folding frame is supported by double-walled aluminium wheels, aluminium alloy mudguards and a carbon belt that does not require conventional chain lubrication.
The complete bike carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating, protecting against water splashes and suitable wet-weather cycling conditions. The folding frame also uses a magnetic buckle to help hold the bike together when folded.
The NFC-enabled display provides convenient tap-to-start operation, while a dedicated battery lock protects the removable battery.
ADO Smart App connectivity supports ride recording, cycling statistics, navigation display functions and access to ADO service support. The MIK-compatible rear rack also supports compatible luggage and accessory systems.
The included 42V 3A charger provides a full charge in approximately 4–6 hours. The removable battery can be charged while installed on the bike or separately indoors.
