ADO Air 28 Step-Through Electric Bike

The ADO Air 28 combines the easy access of an aluminium step-through frame with the smooth rolling feel of 700C wheels. Its torque-sensing rear-hub drive responds to pedalling effort, giving assistance that feels controlled and natural around town.

A removable seatpost battery, quiet carbon belt drive, lockout front suspension and hydraulic disc brakes make it a practical, low-maintenance choice for everyday journeys. The UK configuration assists up to 15.5mph (25km/h) and is supplied without a throttle.

Natural assistance and clean belt drive

The 250W rear-hub motor works with a torque sensor and three assistance levels. A single-speed carbon belt replaces a conventional chain, reducing noise, oil and routine drivetrain maintenance.

Removable battery and everyday range

The battery is integrated into the seatpost and can be removed for charging or storage. The maximum quoted assisted range is up to 62 miles (100km), with a typical recharge taking approximately 4–6 hours using the supplied 42V 2A charger.

Comfort, braking and connected features

Puncture-resistant 700 × 45C tyres, an adjustable lockout suspension fork and hydraulic disc brakes support stable, predictable riding. The IPS colour display works with the ADO Smart App, while the frame provides a discreet position for an AirTag or SmartTag.

Configured for UK EAPC use This bike is supplied with usable pedals, a motor rated at 250W continuous output, no throttle and pedal assistance that cuts out at 15.5mph (25km/h). Riders must be aged 14 or over in Great Britain. Keep the electrical system unmodified if you intend to use it as an EAPC. Read our UK e-bike law guide.
Range notice Quoted range figures are maximum estimates, not guarantees. Actual range varies with rider and cargo weight, assistance level, gradients, surface, stops and starts, tyre pressure, temperature, wind and battery condition.

Well built ebike

The ADO AIR28 arrived very quickly after ordering. Arrived very well packaged and wasn't too difficult to assemble.
Patchy instructions in booklet, learnt much more watching YouTube videos.
My biggest complaint is that I ordered a version with a throttle but it did not arrive with the bike. After several emails it became apparent that it was arriving separately and from China. It took 3 weeks to arrive, which was very annoying. Why sell a bike and then one of the vital parts doesn't arrive for ages. And why not make this clear when placing an order?
