Smooth mid-drive assistance with a low-maintenance belt drive
The ENGWE P275 Pro combines a torque-sensing Bafang mid-drive motor with a Gates carbon belt and an automatic three-speed hub. Assistance responds to your pedalling effort, while the drivetrain takes care of gear changes as your riding pace changes.
Its removable 36V 19.2Ah Samsung-cell battery gives commuters a substantial energy reserve between charges. Full-size 27.5-inch wheels, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and a rear rack complete a practical city bike for everyday journeys and longer leisure rides.
Key features
- Responsive mid-drive assistance: A 250W Bafang motor with 65 Nm torque works with a torque sensor to match assistance to your pedalling effort.
- Belt drive and automatic gears: The Gates carbon belt avoids routine chain lubrication, while the Bafang three-speed automatic hub changes gear as your pace changes.
- Removable battery: The 36V 19.2Ah battery uses Samsung cells and can be removed for charging away from the bike.
- Everyday equipment: Front and rear lights, mudguards and a rear rack suit regular journeys; 180 mm Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to change gears manually?
The Bafang rear hub has three gears and shifts automatically as your riding pace changes. The five assistance levels are selected separately on the control panel.
Can I remove the battery to charge it?
Yes. The battery locks into the frame and can be removed with the key. ENGWE quotes approximately 3–8 hours for charging, depending on the charge remaining.
What maintenance does the belt need?
The Gates carbon belt does not need chain oil. Keep it clean and have its alignment and tension checked during servicing, alongside the brakes, tyres and other moving parts.
What should I check for fit?
ENGWE gives a 175–200 cm rider-height guide and a 100 kg maximum payload. It is a full-size step-over bike, so check reach and standover as well as height before ordering.
What everyday equipment is fitted?
The bike has mudguards, a rear rack, front and rear lights and a Selle Royal saddle. The removable battery, charger and assembly tools are included.
