Will these 20 × 4.0 tyres fit my e-bike?
These tyres are marked 98-406 (20 × 4.0). Match the bead-seat diameter and check that your rim width, frame and fork have suitable clearance. A 20-inch wheel diameter alone does not confirm that a 4-inch-wide tyre will fit.
If your current tyre has different width markings or you are unsure about fit, contact us with photos of the tyre size and wheel. Compatibility depends on the wheel and bike setup, rather than the bike brand alone.
Directional block tread
The wide tread uses a repeating block pattern. Follow any rotation arrow on the tyre sidewall when fitting, whether you are replacing the front or rear tyre.
Fitting and care
Allow the tyres to regain their shape after unpacking. Check the tyre beads and casing for damage, and inspect the rim and rim tape before fitting. Avoid sharply bending or kinking the beads. Use appropriately sized inner tubes and ensure the tyre is seated evenly around the rim.
Follow the pressure and load limits marked on the tyre and rim, together with your bike's requirements. Check tyre pressure and condition regularly. Ask a qualified cycle mechanic if you are unsure about installation.
