Pure x McLaren Black Edition – Slim folding, understated styling
The Pure x McLaren Black Edition brings the McLaren collaboration to a dark finish. Its aluminium-alloy frame, separate footpads and forward-facing stance pair distinctive design with a practical, slim folding layout.
A 36 V 12 Ah battery supports a maximum tested range of 38.8 miles (62.4 km). Power comes from a 500 W nominal rear motor with up to 924 W maximum input, with three modes and Pure Control steering stabilisation.

A dark finish and a narrow folded profile
The Black Edition keeps the same riding platform as Papaya in a more understated colour scheme. Folding handlebars, footpads and steering column bring the width down to 15 cm for storage.
A natural place for each foot
The side-by-side footpads let you face forwards without putting one foot behind the other. Pure Control applies a gentle centring force to the steering, helping you manage unwanted handlebar movement.
Two braking systems, one lever
The front drum brake provides mechanical braking, while the rear regenerative brake adds electrical braking at the driven wheel. Both respond to the same lever, with 10-inch tubeless tyres providing air cushioning.
Lighting and connected controls
Handlebar and rear-facing footpad indicators complement the front light and rear running and brake light. The display shows key ride information, with Bluetooth access to the Pure app and digital PIN locking.
Quoted ranges are maximum test figures, not guaranteed distances. Pure’s range figure for this model was measured at a steady 15 km/h under controlled conditions. Actual range varies with rider weight, speed, hills, surface, temperature, wind, tyre pressure and battery condition.

The finish changes. Both share the same motor rating, 12 Ah battery, maximum tested range and folding dimensions.
How small does the Black Edition fold?
It folds to 104 cm long, 15 cm wide and 54 cm high. The handlebars and footpads fold in, while the steering column folds down.
Does it include suspension?
No. The scooter uses a rigid frame and fork with air-filled, 10-inch tubeless tyres for cushioning.
Does it work with the Pure app?
Yes. Connect using Bluetooth to view ride information and use supported features such as digital PIN locking.
Care and water resistance: IP65 helps protect against dust and rain. Avoid heavy rain, deep water, submersion and pressure washing. Dry the scooter and charging port before charging.
