Fat-tyre comfort with a folding frame

The ENGWE EP-2 Boost pairs a folding aluminium frame with 20 × 4-inch fat tyres and front suspension for everyday rides and uneven surfaces. Its 250W motor uses a torque sensor to respond to your pedalling, with up to 55 Nm of torque available.

A removable 48V 13Ah battery provides 624Wh of energy and can be charged away from the bike. Shimano seven-speed gearing, 180mm mechanical disc brakes, lights, mudguards and a rear rack give you the equipment for commuting, errands and leisure rides.

Real-world range Motor assistance is limited to 15.5 mph (25 km/h). ENGWE claims up to 120 km at PAS 1. This is a manufacturer estimate, not a guaranteed everyday distance. Actual range varies with assistance level, load, hills, wind, temperature, tyre pressure and battery condition.

Key features

  • Torque-sensing support: Pedal assistance responds to the effort you put into the pedals. The motor is rated at 250W and the Boost system is listed at up to 55 Nm.
  • Fat tyres and front suspension: The 20 × 4-inch tyres and suspension fork help take the edge off uneven surfaces, while seven Shimano gears let you adjust your cadence.
  • Removable battery: The internal 624Wh battery can be removed for charging. ENGWE gives an approximate full charging time of 6.5 hours.
  • Practical folding package: The frame folds for storage, and front and rear mudguards, a rear rack and a kickstand are included. The bike weighs approximately 30 kg.

How large and heavy is it when stored?

The stated folded size is approximately 99 × 55 × 75cm, and bike weight is about 30 kg. Check the space available and plan how you will lift or move it.

Are a rear rack and mudguards supplied?

Yes. The standard package includes front and rear mudguards, a rear rack and a kickstand, along with the battery, charger, pedals and assembly tools.
