Easy step-through access with responsive mid-drive assistance

The ENGWE P275 ST brings torque-sensing mid-drive assistance to a step-through commuter frame. Its 250W Ananda motor delivers 70 Nm of torque, while Shimano nine-speed gears give you a useful choice of ratios for changing gradients and riding pace.

A removable 36V 19.2Ah Samsung-cell battery supports longer journeys between charging stops. The Selle Royal saddle and adjustable air seatpost help you set your riding position, with hydraulic disc brakes, mudguards, lights and a rear rack completing the everyday equipment.

Real-world range ENGWE quotes up to 260 km (162 miles) in PAS 1 and 150 km (93 miles) in PAS 5. These manufacturer maximums depend on riding conditions; hills, load, weather, tyre pressure and assistance level affect actual range.

Key features

  • Natural pedal assistance: The Ananda 250W mid-drive motor uses a torque sensor and 70 Nm of torque to respond to the effort you put through the pedals.
  • Step-through frame: The open frame makes getting on and off more straightforward; the adjustable seatpost helps you set the saddle position.
  • Nine-speed gearing: The Shimano nine-speed drivetrain gives you manual control of your pedalling ratio when the gradient or pace changes.
  • Commuter equipment: A rear rack, mudguards and front and rear lights support everyday trips, alongside 180 mm Tektro hydraulic disc brakes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the P275 Pro?

The ST has a step-through frame, a 70 Nm Ananda motor and Shimano nine-speed chain gearing. The Pro uses a 65 Nm Bafang motor with a Gates belt and three-speed automatic hub.

Can I charge the battery off the bike?

Yes. The key-operated battery is removable. ENGWE quotes approximately 3–8 hours of charging, depending on how much charge remains.

How can I adjust the riding position?

The air seatpost allows saddle-height adjustment, and the Selle Royal saddle provides the seating surface. Check saddle height and handlebar reach together when assessing fit.

Will the step-through frame fit a shorter rider?

A step-through opening helps access, but fit also depends on saddle height and reach. ENGWE gives a 175–200 cm height guide, so check the actual fit before ordering.

What commuter equipment is included?

The bike has a rear rack, mudguards and front and rear lights. Its removable battery, charger and basic assembly tools are also supplied.
