Pure Escape Ultra Max Suspension – removable battery, extended range
The Pure Escape Ultra Max Suspension electric scooter combines a removable 46.8 V 10 Ah battery with dual suspension and a steel frame. Its 500 W nominal rear hub motor delivers up to 1,900 W maximum power.
Pure quotes a maximum range of 47 miles (75 km). A front drum brake, rear disc brake and regenerative braking give this model a three-part braking system, with 10-inch tubeless tyres and steering stabilisation for control on permitted private land.
Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on UK public roads, pavements, cycle lanes, cycle tracks or other public places. Use only on private land not open to the public, with the landowner’s permission. Read our UK e-scooter law guide.
A removable battery for flexible charging
The 46.8 V 10 Ah lithium-ion battery can be removed, giving you more flexibility over where you charge. Follow Pure’s instructions for removal, refitting and locking the battery securely in place.
Dual suspension and stable steering
Front and rear suspension cushion uneven surfaces. Pure Control steering stabilisation and air-filled tyres help the scooter feel composed as the surface changes.
Three braking systems
The front drum brake works alongside a rear disc brake and regenerative electric braking. This combination adds a mechanical rear brake compared with the Escape Pro+ Suspension.
Useful visibility and storage features
The scooter includes a 150-lumen front light, rear running and brake light, indicators and reflectors. The folding stem reduces its storage height, while Bluetooth provides a connection to the Pure app.
Quoted ranges are manufacturer maximum test figures, not guaranteed distances. Actual range varies with rider weight, speed, hills, surface, temperature, wind, tyre pressure and battery condition.

Frequently asked questions
What does Ultra Max add over the Escape Pro+ Suspension?
The Ultra Max has a removable 46.8 V 10 Ah battery, up to 75 km quoted range, up to 1,900 W maximum power and an additional rear disc brake. Both models have dual suspension and a 500 W nominal motor.
Is the battery removable?
Yes. This model has a removable lithium-ion battery. Use the supplied charger and follow Pure’s instructions when removing, charging and refitting it.
Does 1,900 W mean it runs at that power continuously?
No. The nominal motor rating is 500 W. The 1,900 W figure is the manufacturer’s maximum power figure and should not be read as continuous motor output.
Is it easy to carry?
It folds to 115.5 × 69 × 61 cm, but weighs 26 kg. Consider the weight and your storage access, particularly if you need to lift it regularly.
Where is it legal to ride in the UK?
Privately owned e-scooters are for private land not open to the public, with the landowner’s permission. They cannot currently be used on UK public roads, pavements or cycle lanes.
Care and water resistance: IP65 is a water-resistance rating, not a guarantee against water damage. Avoid deep water, submersion and pressure washing. Follow the user manual and dry the scooter and charging port before charging.
