Pure x McLaren Chrome – a distinctive finish and forward-facing stance
The Pure x McLaren Chrome electric scooter pairs a reflective Chrome finish with Pure’s forward-facing riding position. Separate footpads let you stand with your feet side by side, while folding handlebars, footpads and stem create a slim profile for storage.
A 500 W nominal rear motor delivers up to 924 W maximum power. Its 36 V 12 Ah lithium-ion battery provides up to 38.8 miles (62.4 km) of manufacturer-quoted range, with a maximum speed of 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on UK public roads, pavements, cycle lanes, cycle tracks or other public places. Use only on private land not open to the public, with the landowner’s permission. Read our UK e-scooter law guide.
A balanced, forward-facing position
The two footpads position your feet either side of the frame. Pure Control steering stabilisation supports controlled steering as you ride on permitted private land.
Slimline folding
Fold the handlebars and footpads in, then lower the stem. The scooter measures 104 × 15 × 54 cm when folded and weighs 16.2 kg, making it easier to fit into a narrow storage space.
Lighting that signals your intentions
Handlebar indicators and rear-facing footpad indicators work alongside the front light and rear running and brake light. A front drum brake and rear regenerative brake provide the braking system.
Pure app connectivity
The display shows speed, riding mode, battery level and connection information. Connect to the Pure app for digital PIN locking and scooter information.
Quoted ranges are manufacturer maximum test figures, not guaranteed distances. Actual range varies with rider weight, speed, hills, surface, temperature, wind, tyre pressure and battery condition.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the Pure x McLaren Flex?
No. This listing is for the Chrome model, manufacturer SKU SCPURZ037-00001. Its handlebars, footpads and stem fold into a long, slim package. The McLaren Flex is a separate model with a folding chassis.
Why do some images or packaging show a shorter range?
Pure has updated its range testing. The current official maximum for this Chrome model is 38.8 miles (62.4 km). Earlier figures may still appear on packaging or older marketing material; actual range varies with conditions.
Does the Chrome model have suspension?
No. It has a rigid frame and fork with 10-inch air-filled tubeless tyres. Maintain the recommended tyre pressure and follow the supplied manual.
What does the app lock do?
The Pure app offers digital PIN locking. Use suitable physical security as well; a software lock does not physically secure the scooter to a fixed object.
Can it be used on UK public roads?
No. Use only on private land not open to the public, with the landowner’s permission. Privately owned e-scooters cannot currently be used on UK public roads, pavements or cycle lanes.
Care and water resistance: IP65 is a water-resistance rating, not a guarantee against water damage. Avoid deep water, submersion and pressure washing. Follow the user manual and dry the scooter and charging port before charging.
