The ADO Air 20S 2026 Folding Electric Bike is a lightweight, low-maintenance 20-inch folding e-bike designed for assisted cycling, compact storage and everyday transport. The latest 2026 version combines a 250W Wanjia rear hub motor, increased torque to 50 Nm, an upgraded 2H dual-sided torque sensor, and a clean carbon belt drive.
The 2026 model also introduces an IPX6 water-resistance rating, an NFC-enabled IPS colour display, a lockable seatpost clamp, aluminium alloy mudguards and an upgraded MIK-compatible aluminium rear rack with an integrated rear light. The UK/CE version provides pedal assistance up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
The upgraded Wanjia 250W brushless rear hub motor produces up to 50 Nm of torque, providing stronger support when starting and climbing than the previous Air 20S motor.
A revised 2H dual-sided torque sensor uses a 36-pulse cadence signal to measure pedalling input more accurately and deliver smoother, more natural assistance. The 2026 Air 20S uses a single Eco-assistance mode and a single-speed carbon-belt transmission.
The removable 36V 9.6Ah lithium-ion seatpost battery provides approximately 345.6Wh of energy and supports an estimated range of up to 100 km (62 miles) under suitable test conditions.
The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed for convenient indoor charging. The lockable seatpost clamp adds an extra layer of protection around the removable battery system.
Range figures are manufacturer estimates and may vary depending on rider weight, Terrain, assist level, temperature, tyre pressure, wind, stops and starts, and riding style.
The 20 × 1.95-inch tyres provide efficient rolling and stable handling, while double-walled aluminium wheels balance strength and weight. The 2026 Air 20S uses a standard rigid front fork and lacks a suspension system.
The adjustable seatpost and handlebar accommodate riders approximately 150 cm to 200 cm tall, while the folding frame, handlebar, and pedals reduce the bike's storage footprint.
The upgraded 2.4-inch IPS colour display provides speed, battery and assistance information with improved visibility in bright conditions. NFC functionality enables convenient tap-to-power operation, while physical display controls remain available.
An E-mark LED front headlight supports forward visibility. The upgraded MIK-compatible rear rack incorporates an integrated rear light, reducing exposed wiring and creating a cleaner installation.
Hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking performance, while the lightweight aluminium folding frame and double-walled aluminium wheels form a durable everyday platform.
The complete 2026 bike carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating, with the display rated to IPX7. Aluminium alloy mudguards provide improved corrosion resistance compared with the steel mudguards used on the previous version.
The NFC-enabled smart display provides convenient activation, while the upgraded lockable seatpost clamp helps secure the removable seatpost battery.
The ADO Smart App supports ride recording, riding statistics, navigation display functions and access to ADO service support. The bike also includes the ADO AQS 2.0 system and a MIK-compatible rear rack for compatible luggage and accessories.
The included 42V 2A charger supports the 36V battery system and provides a full charge in approximately 4–6 hours. A charger and power cable are included.
