At the moment, Electric Scooters London is not registered with Cycle to Work Scheme providers, including Cycle2Work, Cyclescheme, Bike2Work Scheme or similar voucher and salary sacrifice schemes.
We know many customers are interested in using Cycle to Work schemes for road-legal electric bikes, and we are monitoring demand for this option. You can still buy electric bikes directly from our website with UK delivery, warranty support and access to our service and repair centre.
If you are interested in using a Cycle to Work scheme in the future, please get in touch with us and let us know which scheme your employer uses. This helps us understand which scheme providers customers would most like us to support.
If your order has not been dispatched, please get in touch with us at support@electricscooterslondon.com as soon as possible at support@electricscooterslondon.com. If the order has already been dispatched, you may still have cancellation rights under our Returns & Refunds Policy. Still, the item must normally be returned unused and in its original packaging.
Most orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days. Delivery usually takes 3–5 working days after dispatch, depending on the product, courier and delivery area. You will receive tracking details by email once your order has shipped.
Our primary service area is the UK. For international orders, please get in touch with us before purchasing to confirm availability, delivery cost and estimated timescale.
We offer free or low-cost shipping on most orders within the UK. Shipping charges, if applicable, are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
If your tracking has not updated or your order is taking longer than expected, please get in touch with us with your order number. We will check the status with the courier or warehouse and update you as soon as possible.
Yes, we strongly recommend keeping the original packaging, especially for electric bikes and electric scooters. If the item ever needs to be returned, collected for repair or transported safely, the original box is usually the safest packaging option.
You can cancel your order within 14 days of delivery and return the item for a refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, provided it is unused and returned in its original packaging. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.
Used electric bikes and electric scooters are generally not eligible for a change-of-mind refund. Once a product has been assembled, ridden, marked, registered, modified or used outdoors, it may no longer be considered unused. If there is a fault, we will support you under warranty and in accordance with your statutory rights.
Return shipping depends on the reason for the return. For change-of-mind returns, the customer is typically responsible for safely returning the item. For confirmed warranty faults, we will advise the best solution, which may include parts support, repair, collection or return instructions depending on the case.
No restocking fees apply to statutory returns where the item is returned unused, complete and in its original packaging. For extended goodwill returns or items returned incomplete, used or damaged, a reasonable handling or deduction fee may apply.
Email support@electricscooterslondon.com with your order number, the reason for the return, and clear photos of the item and packaging. We will provide return instructions and advise whether a return label or collection can be arranged.
Yes. All our products come with a manufacturer's warranty in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Warranty length and coverage can vary by brand and model, so please check the product page or contact us before purchasing if you need clarification.
Warranty usually covers manufacturing faults with major electrical or mechanical components, depending on the product and brand. Consumable parts such as tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, chains, cables, grips and similar wear items are normally excluded unless there is a confirmed manufacturing defect.
Water damage is normally not covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Electric bikes and scooters may have water-resistance ratings, but they are not designed to be submerged, pressure-washed or used in deep water. Riding in heavy rain, storing the product outside, or allowing water to enter electrical components can cause serious damage.
Contact our support team with your order number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photos or videos showing the problem. In many cases, the manufacturer will require video evidence before approving replacement parts, repair or collection.

Yes. Electric bikes that meet UK EAPC rules are legal to use on public roads and cycle paths where normal bicycles are allowed. A road-legal EAPC must have pedals, a maximum continuous rated motor power of 250W, and motor assistance that cuts off at 15.5 mph.
For more details, read our guide: UK E-Bike Laws 2026: What Makes an Electric Bike Road Legal?
No. If the electric bike meets EAPC rules, you do not need vehicle tax, registration, insurance or a driving licence. However, cycle insurance can still be useful for theft, damage or third-party liability.
High-powered electric bikes with motors above the standard EAPC limit, or bikes that provide motor assistance above 15.5 mph, are not normally treated as ordinary bicycles for UK public road use. They may be suitable for private land use with the landowner's permission, unless properly approved, registered, insured and licensed for road use.
Privately owned electric scooters are not currently legal for use on public roads, pavements, cycle lanes or other public places in the UK. They can only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. We include this notice on electric scooter product pages.
The UK Government has been running rental e-scooter trials and considering future legislation. However, until the law changes officially, privately owned e-scooters remain restricted to private land use only.
Always use the charger supplied or approved by the manufacturer. Charge the battery on a stable, non-flammable surface, away from exits, soft furnishings and heat sources. Do not charge overnight or when no one is at home.
No. You should only use the correct charger for your specific battery. Using the wrong charger can damage the battery, create a fire risk and void the warranty.
Avoid fully draining the battery every time; store it in a dry indoor place; avoid extreme heat or freezing temperatures; and recharge it periodically if the bike or scooter is not used for a long time.
You can learn more in our e-bike and e-scooter battery guide.
Test rides may be available for selected electric bike models by appointment. Please get in touch with us first to check availability. For safety and security, we may require photo ID, a bank card, a signed disclaimer and a helmet.
Yes. If you are not sure which model is suitable, contact us and let us know your height, approximate rider weight, intended use, preferred budget, and whether you need a road-legal 250W e-bike or a private-land model. You can also read our electric bike and scooter buying advice.
